New Unincorporated Business License Application

Important:
County Business Licenses are for businesses located in unincorporated areas of the county. If your business is located in a city you will need to apply through the city.

New Application Process:

  • Step 1: Enter the type of license.
  • Step 2: Enter Address Information.
  • Step 3: Enter the Business Information.
  • Step 4: Upload supporting documents.
  • Step 5: Review your application.
  • After an application is submitted and an inital review takes place you will receive an email with a link to pay the fee. Once approved you will recieve a email notice and can download your Business License.

What are the Fees for Business License?

All New licenses will be issued a Land Use Permit which is a one time fee of $60.00, in addition to the Business License fee which is based on your Business Type.

Business Licenses are good for the calendar year and require a renewal at the start of each year. Renewals will have a Business License fee which is based on your Business Type.

Business Type Definitions

Home Occupations
$35.00, home office i.e. phone, computer, 500 square feet.

Home Occupations with visiting Clientele
$75.00, i.e. hair salons, councilor type office.

Contractor
$75.00

Commercial
$75.00, such as retail shops.

Manufacturing
$100.00

Restaurant
$100.00, Any place where food or drink is prepared, served or offered for sale or sold for human consumption, on or off the premisses.

Theater - High Capacity
For any theater having a seating capacity of 600 persons or more or accommodating 150 or more passenger automobiles, $100.00 per year, or $10.00 for each performance. Call the Planning department if you want to pay per performance.

Theater - Low Capacity
For any theater having a seating capacity of less than 600 persons or accommodating less than 150 passenger automobiles, $75.00 per year, or $5.00 for each performance. Call the Planning department if you want to pay per performance.

Vending Machines
$75.00, for one machine and $50.00 for each additional machine.

Christmas Tree Lot Retail
$25.00 if the sales from the lot are through an established retail sales store.

Christmas Tree Lot Independent
$100.00 if the business is independent from any established and existing retail sales store.

Storage Units
$75.00, plus $1.00 for each room or space which has been constructed or made available for rent or lease.

Hotel, Motel
$75.00 per year, plus $5.00 per rental over ten rooms.

Other - Not Home Occupation
$75.00
